about
The idea behind this track was to emulate the feeling of getting caught in a crashing wave, which is representative of what this year has felt like for myself and I imagine many others. Waves swell and become disorientingly intense, but inevitably pass us by.

Really strong middle of the album. Later tracks are heavily beat-oriented. The album as a whole kind of has 3 sections (or maybe that's just me). Like many MC releases, there seems to be a pointed interest in short, direct tracks, only two tracks here over 4 minutes. Creating the maximum mood and narrative in the most efficient amount of time as possible. No noodling, no long intros. No waste. Anthony Childs

The latest from NxQuantize is both moody and cinematic, with burbling layers of synths bubbling up between pulsing beats. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 24, 2023
